Chief of Islami Andolan Bangladesh and Charmonai Pir Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim made the above remarks about CEC in his speech as the chief guest at the student gathering of Islami Chhatra Andolan Bangladesh at Barisal Charmonai Mahfil on 27 February 2022.
He stated that the people will band together to oppose the current government’s deceit of the nation. Deception cannot be used to subdue the Bangladeshi people. Charmonai pir said student organizations have been used by vested interests as a stepping stone to political power. Islami Chhatra Andolan Bangladesh was founded to protect their integrity.
Nurul Karim Akram, Central President of Islami Chhatra Andolan Bangladesh said that the incident of gang rape of a student of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology has presented a shameful picture of insecurity in Bangladesh. The brutal attack on the agitating students is highly reprehensible. From the student-mass gathering, he strongly condemned the incident of rape and demanded exemplary maximum punishment for the perpetrators and expressed solidarity with the just demands of the students.
Also present at the student gathering was Maulana Yunus Ahmad, Secretary-General of Islami Andolan Bangladesh, Shariful Islam Riyad, Central Vice President of Islami Chhatra Andolan Bangladesh, Secretary-General Sheikh Muhammad Al-Amin, Organizing Secretary Ibrahim Hussain Mridha, Training Secretary Nurul Bashar Azizi and other leaders.
